Goldy Socks and the Three Hares"Goldy Socks and the Three Hares" will surprise and delight readers of all ages.  The chorus allows an unlimited number of "readers".  Who knows?  Maybe Berry Hare will have his own series based on the response to this free Readers Theater script loosely adapted from "Goldilocks and the Three Bears."  

TIME:  about 5 minutes.  CAST: 6, plus a chorus.  TONE: light.  READABILITY: GRADE 3.5 (grade 2.7 replacing Narrator with Nar)

Goldy Socks and the Three Hares

Narrator:  Once upon a time there were three hares who lived in a cozy little house at the edge of town.

Harry:  (deep voice)  Big Papa Harry Hare.

Sherry:  (sweetly)  Sweet Mama Sherry Hare.

Berry:  (silly, but clear)  And Silly Little Berry Hare.

Narrator:  Berry liked to make up silly little songs.

Berry:  (sing-song like)  My name is Berry--not strawberry!  My name is Berry--not blueberry!  My name is Berry, not Hairy Berry, but Berry Berry Hare.

Narrator:  The Three Hares had invited their good cat friend, Goldy Socks over to play games.  But...
